Bryce is an amazing and unique place. In certain regions of western North America these rocky and rare structures are called Hoodoos. The name is derived from Hoodoo spirituality, in which certain natural forms are said to possess certain powers. I rose very early, because I wanted to work with the morning light, I was looking for the sun gradually illuminating these incredible ancient towers that have been carved away over millions of years of water and ice, leaving the distinct shapes you see today. I was blown away with the scale and magic this landscape provides.
